Teachers in mountain areas always speak Chinese in the English classroom,and they also can't create an English environment for students.Although there are many activities in the textbooks,teachers often ignore them.Because there are only written examinations,teachers only pay more attention to writing than to speaking.However,the ultimate goal of language learning is to communicate.There is a little available information in the mountain areas.Students can only get English input resources in classroom.This puts higher demands on English classes and teachers in mountain areas primary schools.Classroom interaction is the main form for students to communicate with others and express their thoughts,feelings,and views.Through classroom interaction,students can get more opportunity to communicate with others in English,so as to cultivate their habit of using English,stimulate their interest in learning English,promote language achievement,improve the sense of accomplishment and self-confidence.By this way,students can make a good preparation for their English studying in higher grade.Teachers,with interactive teaching mode,can provide students more chances to practice English in the classroom.The purpose of this study is to according to the Interaction Hypothesis by Long,the Output Hypothesis by Swain and Krashen's Input Hypothesis and experiments to find out the effect of interactive teaching on students' oral English achievement and their learning motivation of English speaking.This paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction part.The author introduces the research purpose,background and significance.The second chapter is the literature review of this paper,gives the definition of classroom interaction,and elaborates the research status of domestic primary school English classroom teaching and classroom interaction at home and abroad.The third chapter is theoretical framework.It introduces the theory which supports this paper.The fourth chapter is the methodology of this paper.After a series of classroom records,the author carried out the experimental study on the interactive classroom teaching,analyzed the specific implementation details,including experimental objectives,methods,procedures and data collection.In order to study the application of interactive teaching in the classroom,at the same time,the author carried out a teaching experiment in Longcheng Education Park in the city of Qin'an in Gansu province.Two classes in grade six were chosen,one is experimental class and the other is controlled class.43 students were chosen as the research objects in each class.During one semester,the teacher give interactive teaching method to the experimental class while give traditional teaching method to the control class.Through experiment and questionnaires,the author wants to find out their English learning situation and the effects of interactive classroom teaching on the English learning.After the experiment,the data in the experiment were analyzed with SPSS statistical software.The analysis results showed that there are some significant differences in the pretest and post-test scores of the experimental class,and there is no change in controlled class.The survey also found that English learning motivation of the students in the experimental class has changed significantly than before the experiment.In the fifth chapter,except the analysis of the experimental results,the implications of the study for English teaching,the limitations of this study,some suggestions for future teaching research is put forward.The interactive teaching can promote the students' communicative ability,students' interest in learning English;more extensive research should be carried out in the future.The sixth chapter summarized the main points of the thesis.The results of the experiment is worthy of recognition.The students recognize and accept the interactive teaching mode of oral English.The students'motivation and emotion attitude and learning habit of English learning are continuously improved and the degree of class participation is obviously improved.Students can obtain a large number of language output opportunities.In short,classroom interaction promotes the combination of cognition and emotion.It is the key to stimulate pupils' interest in English learning.Classroom interaction gives each student more opportunity to actively participate in teaching activities and to fully express them.It can not only effectively improve the primary school English classroom teaching efficiency and teaching quality,but also achieve the primary objective of primary school English teaching.So,it should be carried out.This is the foundation of further research and promotion.
