| Primary school English teaching is one of the important contents of oral English Teaching in primary school.The importance of learning English sentence patterns lies in: the typical mode of learning English is to learn English sentence patterns,which can not only let students learn to express their thoughts and feelings in a variety of contexts,but also can well cultivate students’ ability of language transfer.Due to the lack of context in oral English teaching,how to make pupils practice English sentences more effectively is a difficult point in oral English teaching.Role playing is a kind of teaching method that is very popular with primary school English teachers and primary school students.The grade four primary school students are in the transition of image thinking to abstract thinking,but mainly to the image thinking stage.Role playing not only provides a visual performance environment for pupils,but also provides enough space for pupils to exert their imagination and creativity,therefore,role play is a good method of English sentences teaching.Most of the previous studies have focused on the role and effect of role playing in primary English teaching,and few studies have been devoted to the application of role playing in primary English sentence pattern teaching.There are few special researches on the structural factors of role playing,not to mention the analysis of the effect of role playing and source of the problem.This study aims at the problem of these deficiencies: role playing improves the level of primary school students to master English sentence patterns.The author chooses the Primary Longman 3A textbook,and designs two role playing themes of "Meal time" and "At the shopping center".The case study method is adopted in this study.The first class of grade four in Chengdu A school is the research object.The specific research methods are interview,classroom observation and randomconversation.The students were three times before and after the interview,the first interview at the beginning of the semester,in order to understand the students to play the role of the views and sentences to grasp the situation;the last two interviews to play after the completion of each formal role,play a role of students mainly through role play after view and grasp the situation the English sentence.In the process of implementing the plan,the author uses the classroom observation method to observe the theme of the two role play several times,and record the performance of the students in the role playing process while observing,so as to understand the students’ grasp of the sentence patterns.Through the analysis of the results of classroom observation and interview,the author obtained the results of the implementation of the scheme.The results show that the scene layout lack creativity,individual students are not well integrated into the story;the plot and English sentence are connected well,the plot is very good for the service for teaching;part performance is not natural,lead actor and audience interaction is not strong;the role of the language is written,cause some students did not reach the effect of oral practice.Although the role of structure in the scene,action and language have need to be improved to a certain extent,but the author in a random way of dialogue on the part of the students studied English sentence master,most of the students in that class study results not only to master the English sentence is better,and reached a certain degree of understanding and flexible application.Therefore,role play can help students understand and use English sentence patterns in the process of experiencing,plot,action and language integration,thus improving the level of English sentence patterns for pupils. |
