Cognitive Study Of Saint Joseph’s University Students On Chinese Movies

With the rapid development of China’s economy,political status continues to rise,international influence is increasing,and Chinese films are also developing rapidly.Although China’s film industry started relatively late and even had a period of stagnation,with the deepening of reform and opening up,China’s film industry has also developed at an alarming rate.This study took advantage of my opportunity to study at Saint Joseph’s University in the United States and conducted research on the students of Saint Joseph’s University in the United States.In the survey:This study focuses on the perception of Chinese films by ordinary American college students.Due to the need for a more popular perspective,the researchers chose the Saint Joseph’s University for investigation and analysis,but did not investigate individual professional film schools.In the content of the survey:The study mainly analyzed the students’ perceptions of Chinese films at Saint Joseph’s University.For the purpose of the survey:The researchers are mainly to create a globalized Chinese film,analyze possible hindrance factors,and aspects that should be improved in the future development of Chinese films.Judging from the perspective of historical culture and artistic expression,movies are an art,not only influenced by cultural factors,but also influenced by artistic concepts and artistic means.As China’s influence in the world continues to increase,traditional Chinese cultural elements are increasingly appearing in American movies and are loved by American audiences.However,the same theme,the effect of Chinese film is not ideal.From the survey of students of Saint Joseph’s University,it can be found that when students watch Chinese movies,the cognition of the students only stays in the most superficial content presentation,and they cannot understand the deep meaning of cultural symbols in movies.From this analysis,viewers are influenced by factors such as language,historical culture,and way of thinking during the viewing.As a kind of artistic.communication,Chinese films should be made into a national content in order to make it more acceptable to the general public and use the concept of globalization as a means of speaking and presentation.To people around the world,tell Chinese stories and Chinese culture.In the context of globalization,the convergence of contemporary culture is more and more obvious.If Chinese films are only blindly pursuing the creation of visual wonders,the creative subject will encounter the deconstruction of the "other" and will only be eroded and assimilated by Hollywood movies.As a unique cross-cultural communication medium,if movies with more "Chinese characteristics"can be actively and effectively disseminated globally,it will play an important role in boosting the spread of Chinese culture and the country’s image.
