The Study On The Linguistic Variation Of The News Head Lines In The People’s Daily

The study on the news media language has been a hot topic in the academia,the news headlines is a concise summary of the news reports’ main ideas,the selection and use of the news headlines will have a critical impact on the news reports themselves,and there is an increasingly close connection between the news media language and the study of language life,using the news media language to count the language life is one of the significant tasks when we want to do some research about language life,the People’s Daily is one of the most authoritative official publication in China,its news headlines are usually condensed and refined for very significant 、influential 、 high-profile events at home and abroad,the development of news headlines language in the People’s Daily could objectively reflect the development of language life to a certain extent.This paper will focus on the news headlines in the People’s Daily(1949-2016),firstly,we will investigate and analyse the news headlines in the People’s Daily,which included the development of the use of Chinese characters、Chinese words and rhetoric from a diachronic perspective,then,we will discuss and study the development of language life since the foundation of New China and the main influencing factors on the basis of the previous study,This paper will carry out the concrete discussion and analysis from the following four parts:The first part mainly investigate and analyse the development of the number and type of Chinese characters of the news headlines.The second part mainly investigate and analyse the development of the use of Chinese words of the news headlines.The third part mainly investigate and analyse the development of the use of rhetoric of the news headlines.The fourth part mainly investigate and analyse the development of language life since the foundation of New China and the main influencing factors.
