Research Of The Hostage Phenomenon Under The View Of The Diplomatic Credit During The Spring And Autumn And The Warring States Period

Great social changes had taken place with status and power of Zhou royal court declining,rites and music collapsing during the Spring and Autumn Period.The original diplomatic credit system established by Western Zhou Dynasty was destroyed.The social urgently needed to set up new one with the hostage phenomenon producing.What is the hostage,how to define it,what is the role of it in the diplomatic credit system and what is difference about it having effect on diplomatic credit between the Spring and Autumn and the Warring States Period.All of these are what we will study in the dissertation.There will be four parts in the article.First,we will make a definition for the hostage,analyze its origin,talk about the relationship between the phenomenon hostage and diplomatic credit in primitive society,Shang and Western Zhou Dynasty and know the basic situation during the Spring and Autumn and the Warring States Period about the hostage phenomenon.In the second part,we will analyze the hostage phenomenon and diplomatic credit during the Spring and Autumn Period.First,valuing etiquette and keeping diplomatic credit and hostages will be analyzed.Second,we will discuss the hostage phenomenon and diplomatic credibility under the dominant system in the Spring and Autumn Period.At the same time,we will describe the hostage and diplomatic credibility combined with bribes.In the third part,we will analyze the hostage phenomenon and diplomatic credit during the Warring States Period which discuss the merger war and collapse of the traditional credit system and the completely utilitarian of the hostage activity.In the last part,we will discuss diplomatic credit from the perspective of the identity and political value of the hostage during Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period.The hostage is an important content studying diplomatic credit affairs during the Spring and Autumn and the Warring States Period.The activities of the hostage had gradually showed the trend of utilitarianism in the Spring and Autumn and reached its lowest point by the time of the Warring States on diplomatic credit.This paper will analyze the relationship between the hostage phenomenon and diplomatic credit from multiple angles and by stage in the Spring and Autumn and the Warring States Period.
