The 20 th century was a height of orchestral development,as the colorful orchestral acoustics and tone became more and more abundant,the technique of orchestral was greatly expanded,and Respighi was the representative allocator master.The techniques and techniques used by composer in his works are complex and changeable.Respighi was one of the leading orchestral music masters.Fontane di Roma,the first one of the Roman Trilogy,intergrades techniques and processing both inheriting the tradition and foreshadowing the new elements,forming a good ground for the later two works,especially its varied texture.This paper tries to analyze its compositional techniques concerning through an entry path of orchestration analyzing.Taking Fontane di Roma to study,this paper discusses three main issues: general outline and the basic structure of this work,significant characteristic of the forte-movement and the piano-movement respectively,summarize of the whole work and the comparing of acoustics with each movement,in order to analyze how the composer create colorful orchestral acoustics concerning texture,timbre,tutti,pedal point and macroscopic acoustics.
