The Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students is the largest,oldest and most representative competition in the series of Chinese bridge competition.So far,the competition under the cooperation of Confucius Institute headquarters and Office of Chinese Language Council International,has successfully held 16 times,with a perfect competition,content,evaluation and reward system.This paper takes the cultural questions which in the reference questions of the "Chinese Bridge" competition in the past five years(from the 12 th in 2013 to the 16 th in 2017)as the research subject,in order to analyze the form and the content of the test,summing up the characters of the questions,then concluding the enlightening of teaching Chinese culture to foreigners.The thesis is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction,which introduces the background of the topic selection,the recent research status of "Chinese Bridge" competition,the methods that used in the paper and significance of the research.In the second part,on the basis of collecting and sorting out a large number of related questions and taking them as data support,the paper analyzes the cultural questions of"Chinese Bridge" competition from the aspect of the form.The third part divides the "Chinese bridge" test questions into three parts: "language culture knowledge of Chinese","China basic national conditions knowledge" and"Chinese culture".It is concluded that the cultural questions of the "Chinese Bridge competition” have the characteristics of modern and tradition,diversity and representativeness,materiality and abstraction,fundamental and hierarchical,stability and guidance;In the fourth part of the paper,the author first introduces the current cultural teaching outline and culture teaching principles in modern teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages,and puts forward the author’s own views on the cultural teaching principles;then,the author analyzes and evaluates the cultural contents of the two mainstream textbooks of Chinese teaching,and combined with the outline and the culture teaching principles,then finds that the "Developing Chinese" textbook has more advantages;finally,from the aspects of "language culture knowledge of Chinese Teaching","China basic national conditions Teaching" and "Chinese Culture Teaching",pointed out of the shortcomings of those two textbook;then according the characters of “Chinese Bridge” competition,combined with the cultural outline and the guiding ideology of cultural teaching principles,the paper expounds the culture contents,teaching methods,teaching principles and the ability that Chinese teachers should have and provides some enlightenment and suggestions for teaching Chinese culture to foreigners.The last part is the conclusion,which summarizes the whole article.
