Research On The Female Thought Of Pan Guang-dan

Pan Guangdan(1899-1967),is an elder generation famous sociologist,eugenics,national scientist and educator of china.He has always attached importance to the study of marriage,family,and the closely related issues of women,children and old people.The current researches on Pan Guangdan's academic circles mainly focus on the aspects of eugenics and educational thought.There are few studies on Pan Guangdan's feminine emancipation thought,and there is not a complete thesis on the emancipation of women.Based on the previous research achievements,this paper introduces and analyzes Pan Guangdan's thought of women's emancipation,and summarizes the historical influence and function of her emancipation.The formation of Pan Guangdan's female thought is deeply influenced by family background,times background,traditional culture and eugenics theory.Pan Guangdan's feminist thought mainly consists of three parts.First of all,he put forward the new concept of women's liberation,and believed that equality should be respected on the basis of respect for differences between men and women.Secondly,the concept of women's education is put forward.He advocated the education of women's learning,education and sex differentiation,and formed the idea of "new mother education".He suggested that there is a close relationship between eugenics and parental education.We should attach importance to the responsibility of women for their children's health and education.Whether the new mother religion or eugenics is related to national revival and national responsibility.Thirdly,he puts forward the concept of women's marriage.He has a new understanding of the concepts of freedom of marriage and chastity.She also made her own unique views on how women should handle family and career relations.On the basis of such background and theory,the background and content of Pan Guangdan's feminine emancipation thought endowed her with the unique characteristics of the women's emancipation.There are four main characteristics: first,eugenics throughout;second,the combination of Chinese and western academic point of view;third,national responsibility is preferred;fourth,pay attention to the differences between men and women.At the time of the era,Pan Guangdan's thought of women emancipation as a tranquilizer,make people calm,it is very important for women's Liberation plays a role,even for us today is also an important source of inspiration,but he is inevitable under various conditions of bondage,some drawbacks exist,we can't go by predecessors now view.Whether right or wrong,Pan Guangdan's thought of women emancipation in modern history of thought Chinese is a thick and heavy in colours.
