Wowen Writing In Ge Fei’s Jiangnan Trilogy

In 2004,Gefei announced his high-profile returning to the traditional novel narrative method by publishing his new book,"face like peach blossom"。In the following seven years,Ge Fei has published "Mountains and rivers into dream" and"spring is over at JiangNan" in succession.Three novels arecollectively known as "JiangNan Trilogy".As a pioneer writer of the academic factions in literature,Ge Fei consciously reflected his creation ofliterature in 21 century writing.Starting from the"Flag of Desire",Ge Fei began to explore the way to reuse the traditional narrative,compared to the previous avant-garde fiction.his novels began to pay more attention to the details and completeness of the story,and clearly demonstrated the reference to the narration techniques of "A Dream in Red Mansions".What is even more striking is that he no longer symbolize the female characters and even make them as the protagonist in his book,building the image of female characters of different temperaments in different eras and expressing a classical and feminine quality to the readers.Analyzing the female characters in Ge Fei’s novels,including the three main female characters that bear the writer’s spiritual connotation,and all the female characters that surround them and have big impacts on the main characters destiny.From the perspective of psychoanalysis,this paper also focuses on the changes in the mentality of female characters under the influence of Utopia’s dreams,and their association with Utopian ideals and writers.Analyzing the transformation in writing female charaters in the "Southern Trilogy".The three books spanned almost 8 years in publication date.Ge Fei’s writing of Utopia has also spanned from the Revolution of 1911 to the present for over a hundred years.Ge Fei has created female characters across 3 generations,they are Lu Xiu-mi in the Revolution of 1911,Yao Peipei in socialist construction after the founding of the PRC,and Pang Jiayu in the current market economic environment.They are quite diffrent from personal quality to core value.The purpose of this chapter is to analyze the different perspectives of female characters written by Ge Fei in different eras,and to analyze different writing methods and social atmospheres in order to reveal the text connotation of female writing based the female characters in his works.Analyzing the natural images appearing in the "Southern Trilogy" from the perspective of imago theory,and analyzes the unique imago world in the"Jiangnan Trilogy"."Flowers" shows the characteristics of the female characters.The "Dreams" show the association between female characters across 3 generations,"island" shows the connection between female characters and "utopia","rain" implies the change of the fate of the female characters respectively.Through creating the imago world in the novel,Gefi tries to show the spiritual transformation and tragic fate of the women across 3 generations of the Utopian revolutionary family.Based on this,he pays attention to the changing process of Utopia consciousness and recalls the revolutionary beliefs that have passed.Exploring the causes of the Utopia theme expressed by GeFei from the characteristics of Ge Fei’ s female writing.From the connection between"Gaze" theory and "Female writing" of male writers,this paper probes into the great change of GeFei’s "female writing",and probes into the connotation of female writing in "Jiangnan Trilogy".
