Althusser's Theory Of Ideology And Its Contemporary Value

As one of the important philosophers in the history of Western Marxism,Althusser was deeply influenced by Marx's ideological theory.On the basis of absorbing the theoretical essence of philosophers such as Gramsci and Lacan,Althusser endowed the ideology with the state Machine function.Althusser pointed out that although Marx established the modern context of ideology,the discussion of ideological theory only stayed on the surface stage.To this end,Althusser reconstructed it with the method of structuralism,combined Marx's national doctrine and ideology,creatively proposed the concept of an ideological state machine,and revealed that capitalism maintained the reproduction of relations of production The operation mechanism has formed a very personal ideology theory.Althusser's theory of ideology enriches the connotation of Marx's theory of state machine.He incorporates many private fields such as schools,religions,families,trade unions and cultures into the functions of state machines,thus expanding the scope of Marx's theory of state studies.Based on the dialectical materialism,this dissertation focuses on Althusser's ideological theory and its contemporary value research and adopts the method of literature research.Except for the introduction and conclusion,the dissertation mainly includes the following parts.First,it analyzes the historical context of Althusser's theory of ideology,systematically expounds the background and theoretical origin of its theory,and aims to probe the scientific nature of the theory from its root causes.Second,we systematically analyze the basic contents,main functions and characteristics of Althusser's ideological theory from three dimensions,and compare it logically with the Marxist ideological theory.The third one is about the objectivity of Althusser's theory of the ideology,the dialectical view of its theoretical value and its shortcomings.Fourthly,digging deeply into the contemporary value inherent in Althusser's ideological theory and drawing on its beneficial elements to guide the ideological work in our country.Althusser creatively incorporated ideology into the material production structure,and organically combined with state machinery,reproduction of production relations,subject construction,etc.Finally,it leaps from the traditional understanding of ideology as a false spiritual phenomenon.He thoroughly analyzed the operating mechanism of the capitalist social ideology,opening up a brand new perspective for us to re-understand the capitalism,and at the same time,it helps us further tap the profound connotations that are conducive to the construction of socialist ideology.
