The Research On Di Yao

The Chinese nation has a long history of 5000 years.The beginning of the Chinese nation is generally thought to begin with the Five Emperors from Huang Di to Yao and Shun,and the times of Yao and Shun are also considered as the beginning of the Chinese civilization society marked by the complete civilized factors.To study the civilization of the Chinese nation,we must start with the times of Five Emperors,and Di Yao is a very important part.This paper takes Di Yao as the focus of the study.Based on the ancient literature,archaeological excavations and discovered text,it mainly study Di Yao's life experiences,Di Yao's achievements and the incident of Shanrang between Yao and Shun.I hope Di Yao's life experiences,historical achievements and its cultural connotation can be shown by combining and summarizing to a certain extent.The beginning of this paper is the preface.This part mainly introduces the significance of this topic,research methods and literatural review on the topic of Di Yao.The first part is the study of the life experiences of Di Yao.This part mainly study Di Yao's names,genealogy and activity area.It will combine the achievements that had gained and analyze the differences.As one of the Five Emperors,Di Yao had a variety of names,such as the family name of Yi Qi,the given name of Fang Xun and the literary name of Tao Tang,and this paper bring order to his names' origin.It also describes the complete pedigree of the Di Yao,containing his imperial pedigree and his descendants.And it also studies the origin,migration,the capital and cemetery of the Di Yao's clan.The second part is the study of the achievements of Di Yao.On the political track,Di Yao put down the other clans' rebllion,improved the political system and leagued together.On the economic track,Di Yao harnessed floodwater,developed production and formulated calendar system.On the cultural track,the sacrificial activities,the making of rites and music also made us see the culture playing more and more important role in society.This part makes a comprehensive summary in the politics,economic,culture in the times of Di Yao in order to explore the historical achievements and the cultural significance.The third part is the study of Shanrang between Yao and shun.This part is from the controversy over the incident of Shanrang,puts forward the authenticity of Shanrang,and then discusses its two aspects-material basis and social basis.Then it concludes the essence that Shanrang between Yao and Shun is the replacement system of the chiefs of the tribal alliance in the beginning of Chinese civilization.Finally,it expounds the profound influence of Shanrang on the political and social life for later generations.The last part is the conclusion,which integrates the full text and points out the significance of the research of Di Yao.
