A Study Of Primitive Creation In D·H Lawrence And Chi Zijian’s Works

Primitivism has become a worldwide cultural trend for two reasons.On the one hand,because of the nostalgic human nature.Whenever there is a time when new and old alternatives are complicated,people cannot but look forward to doubting the uncertainty of progress.On the other hand,during the development of modern civilization,people gradually realized that the development of industrial civilization was a double-edged sword.The main features of primitivism are the binary opposition between modern civilization and primitive civilization.Primitivism advocates that people seek roots and return to nature,so as to achieve the communion of man and man,man and nature,man and society,and finally realize the ultimate goal of mankind walking out of the wasteland of civilization to the path of rejuvenation.The primitivism creations in the two writer’s works are the starting point,starting from the problems of the forms of expression,the reasons for the formation of primitive thinking,and the differences between the two.Analyze from the following three sections:The first chapter defines the concept of the word "primitivism",which is the key word of the dissertation,and introduces the causes of the two authors’ primitivism creation from four aspects: personal experience,social background,cultural trends,and traditional culture.The second chapter compares and analyzes the manifestation of primitivism in both works.From the aspects of sex worship,nature worship and death worship,they are compared and analyzed.Learn more about the similarities between the two writers.The third chapter analyzes the differences in the degree of primitivism and the reasons for their formation.Through careful reading of the text,the author finds that the writer’s primitivism thoughts are very different in degree.Lawrence was a true primitivism,and Chi Zijian showed the struggle between the primitive and the modern choice.She was a semi-initialist.The reasons for the differences and the background and traditions of the two writers.The influence of culture is inextricably linked.
