Language is the most important communication tool for human beings,while neologisms can best reflect social development.The neologisms in a certain period can reflect the main development trend of the society in this period.The neologisms has greatly enriched the modern language vocabulary system.As an important part of the language,it has aroused great concern in the academic world.Many scholars have studied it deeply and achieved fruitful results.China and South Korea belong to the cultural circle of Chinese characters,so there are many similarities in language,and there are many differences because of the independent development between each other.It is no exceptions in the neologisms.The two countries have conducted comparative studies on language and culture since 80s of last century.However,there are relatively few studies on new words and expressions between China and Korea.This shows that this study is of great significance.New words and new words are becoming more and more important in language learning.Due to neologisms are difficult to define,short to update and confuse easily,they are both important and difficult for foreign learners.This article has mainly collected new words and phrases that have appeared in China and South Korea in 2014.Based on the current concepts and research status of neologisms in China and South Korea,the focus is on the similarities and differences between Chinese and Korean neologisms from different aspects.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly includes the definition of neologisms,the research results of neologisms in China and South Korea,and the comparison of their respective results,then summing up the significance of this study.The second part mainly analyzes the neologisms produced in Chinese in 2014;The third part is the neologisms produced in Korean in 2014.The two parts examine the causes,distribution fields and structure types of neologisms.The fourth part is to contrast the neologisms in Chinese and Korean,and summarize their similarities and differences.The last part summarizes the research results,hoping to cultural exchanges between the two countries and provide help for later Chinese learners.
