This research focus on the fugitive phenomenon of the cases in Bamboo and Wooden slips of Early China,including Qin Bamboo Slips of Yuelu Academy Vol3.(岳麓书院藏秦简《叁》),Liye Qin Bamboo and Wooden slips(里耶秦简),Zouyanshu of Zhangjiashan Western Han Bamboo slips(张家山汉简《奏献书》)and the Eastern Han Bamboo and Wooden slips from Wuyi Square,Changsha(长沙五一广场东汉简牍).Firstly,we solve some annotative and interpretative problems of these scripts,expand case studies.Then,with the methodological self-consciousness of regional society researches,we try to explore and research on people groups and their society in the middle reaches of the Yangtze river of early China through these cases of fugitive.We will discuss means of livelihood of fugitives,the ways of their society organizing and the connection between fugitives and local society,identities,mentality and choice at the ending of Warring States to Qin-Chu-Han period,the diversity of people groups and landscapes.We hopes our efforts could reveal several features of regional society in this area of Early China.
