Disease and art are always inextricably linked.Throughout the history of art, many artists have suffered from one kind or another of diseases, and diseases have plagued artists and even claimed the lives of artists.Among the many diseases, there are two diseases that are particularly prominent: mental illness and tuberculosis.First, there are a large number of artists suffering from these two diseases.Second, the two diseases have a long duration and are not easy to cure, which will have a profound impact on artists. This article analyzes the impact of tuberculosis on the artist's creative activities in one of these diseases.Tuberculosis is an ancient and terrible disease, but it has a romantic name like "artist's disease." Historically, many artists have suffered from this disease.Even when the romantic movement began, some artists wanted to infect the disease and make themselves “ beautiful and romantic”.Numerous works of art have also described the disease and become an integral part of the work, even becoming a classic character(such as Lin Daiyu in "A Dream of Red Mansions").In previous studies, most of the discussions involving the relationship between artists and artistic creation often focused on the social background and personal experience of the artist. The disease factor was only used as a reference and not taken seriously. This article hopes to try to explain the problems of the formation of the artist's creative style from a new perspective by studying and analyzing the factors of tuberculosis disease. What exactly is the connection between tuberculosis and artists and artistic creation? This article elaborates the influence of pulmonary tuberculosis on artistic creation by analyzing the reading of the artist's biographies and related literature, and the records of my own feelings.
