Pulmonary tuberculosis walked into literature several centuries ago. The 30 years of Chinese modern literature was the revelry-time of pulmonary tuberculosis image. In the special discourse of modern literature, pulmonary tuberculosis was endowed with the metaphorical meaning in connection with the special politic and cultural significance. When the May-Fourth-Time's writers, such as Lu Xun , undertook the social doctor's responsibility and mission, the enlightenment literature became one part of the practice of social treatment. Then pulmonary tuberculosis implied great and serious metaphorical meanings such as the misery of nation, the darkness of society, the desperation of enlightenment, the imprisonment of humanity, the liberation of women. However, with the Five-Fourth-Time's discourse fading out, the great and serious metaphorical meanings also gradually reduced. Haipai novelists thoroughly overthrew the topic mode of illness and cure, and deconstructed the metaphorical meanings.
