The Exploration And Analysis Of Chinese Piano Transcriptions

Chinese piano transcription is an important part of Chinese instrumental music compositions with high status.It is popular with Chinese even all around the world for its Chinese folk melody and the various expression by piano.Whether the transcriptions' structure is big or not,the new pieces all have a "western coat" with multiple texture,meaningful structure and colorful tone features which can't see in traditional pattern of manifestation.But,on the other hand,it is worth to discuss that if the "new coat" has the ability to express the connotation,charm and the beauty of Chinese traditional music.There are aesthetic diversity between Chinese and western music in expression form,culture connotation and aesthetic psychology.Therefor,there must be some difference in original,national,cultural,esthetic content between the new Chinese piano transcription and its original form.So,the paper's substance is to present the difference,and to discuss the positive influence abort the Chinese piano transcription in spreading Chinese traditional music inland and abroad.To achieve the goal,this paper studies the piano transcriptions that recomposed from Chinese traditional instrumental music and vocal music in different period,comparing the technique of creation and the ways of expression in different era diachronically,analysing the difference between transcriptions and original pieces directly and distinctly.Then,exploring the reason why there is the difference with historical culture analytical method,cause and effect analytical method and so on.This article has four parts.The fist chapter reviews the historical development of Chinese piano transcription,sorting out the 100years historical development skeleton of it,making us a direct impression on its situation.The second chapter discusses the difference between the Chinese piano transcription and original work from music to aesthetics.The third chapter studies the reason why there are the diffenrence from nature enviroment to nation culture.These two sections are the most important part of this paper.The last chapter provides an outlook of the future of the Chinese piano transcriptions.Even though affected by the historic and social circumstance,the number of creation has fallen down.It accumulates lots of valuable composing skills for Chinese piano original works and provides a susceptive pattern of manifestation for all over the world to appreciate Chinese traditional music.In summary,we should accept the difference between Chinese piano transcriptions and the original works objectively.Meanwhile,we should hold a positive attitude on its transmission effect inland and abroad in the future.
