An Study For Rhymed Aesthetic Psychology With Chinese Poem

In the research of poetry aesthetic psychology,the relationship between aesthetic cognitive processing and aesthetic emotional processing has been an important topic of discussion.Although it has been proved in previous studies that aesthetic cognitive processing and aesthetic emotional processing play an important role in aesthetic psychology of poetry,whether aesthetic cognitive processing or aesthetic emotion processing,or both,should be carried out first has not yet achieved a common understanding in the academic circles.Therefore,this study selects the rhyme rules in metrical poems to explore the relationship between aesthetic cognitive processing and aesthetic emotional processing in the process of aesthetic psychological processing of poetry.Experiment one adopted the poetry classification and recognition paradigm,asking the subjects to recognize and respond to the poems.The experimental materials were presented at random and quickly with rhyme verse and non-rhyme verse.Then the subjects were asked to understand the main idea of the verse.The experimental results show that the average recognition reaction time of the incomprehensible verse is significantly shorter than that of the comprehensible verse.In addition,in the comprehensible verse,the average reaction time of rhyme verse is significantly shorter than that of non-rhyme verse.Experiment two adopted the aesthetic preference evaluation paradigm of poetry,asking the subjects to evaluate the aesthetic preference of poems.The experimental materials of poetry was also presented at random and quickly with rhyming verse and non-rhyme verse,and then the subjects were asked to score the aesthetic preference of poems.The experimental results show that there is a significant negative correlation between the recognition reaction time and the aesthetic preference score of poems,that is,the longer the recognition reaction time,the lower the evaluation score of the aesthetic preference of poems.In addition,the evaluation score of aesthetic preference of non-rhyme verse was obviously lower than that of rhyme verse.Also,the average reaction time of non-rhyme verse was obviously longer than that of rhyme verse.Experiment three adopted event-related potential technology,asking the subjects to recognize and respond to the poems and evaluate their aesthetic preference,which was actually a combination of experiment one and experiment two and were investigated in the process of time.The experimental results are the same as those of experiment one and experiment two.It finds that N2 waves reflect the negative waves in the forehead of aesthetic cognitive processing.It also finds that the task of recognizing and responding to poem comprehension is mainly occurred in the left hemisphere.In addition,it finds that P3 wave reflected the late positive potential in the lateralization of aesthetic preference evaluation.It shows that evaluation of the aesthetic preference of poems occurs in both hemispheres of the brain.Finally,we can sum up a theoretical model of poetry aesthetic psychological processing,combining the aesthetic model of physiology and psychology,the theory of aesthetic prototype,the theory of cognitive fluency and the judgment of aesthetic appreciation model,aesthetic psychological processing model and other theoretical models with the conclusions of this study.The model consists of three stages: the first stage is the stage of sensory perception,a stage for partial processing and the preparation for the stage of poetry aesthetic cognition processing.The second stage is the stage of thinking meaning,a stage for whole processing in which one is asked to understand the main idea of poems and then to produce aesthetic emotion.This stage occurs mainly in the left hemisphere of the brain.The third stage is the stage of aesthetic preference evaluation.This stage is not only partial processing but also holistic processing with the last being the most situation.It makes the aesthetic individual feel a sense of close,but also produces the artistic conception of poems.Once the individual experience this kind of artistic conception,he will immerse in this kind of aesthetic pleasure.This stage occurs in both hemispheres of the brain.
