A Study On The Influence Of Perspective Taking On Homosexual Stigma Among The College Students

As the main existence form of minority sexual orientation,the physical and mental health and the living situation of homosexuality is attracting more and more attention from scholars at home and abroad,and gradually become the focus of academic research.Research has shown that gay groups suffering from social discrimination,prejudice and discrimination in every aspect of their life,which causes negative impact on their health and mental development and therefore brings out their negative emotions such as anxieties,depressions and disappointments;so they adopt self-harm and suicide,drug abuse and alcohol abuse as well as other ways to deal with it,the corresponding increase in chronic diseases such as cancer and high blood pressure.Therefore,in order to eliminate the stigma of homosexual groups,to improve the health of body and mind,help them to strive for more fair treatment,to expand the research scope of stigma group was carried out by college students,this paper see the intervention study on gay stigma.To use heterosexual college students as the subjects,this study is divided into three parts to discuss college students on gay stigma of implicit and explicit stigma:(1)the research according to the existing literature and related stigma scale,compiled the applicable to the semantic difference of gay stigma scale,contains cognitive(stereotypes),emotional(bias),behavior(discrimination)in three dimensions.(2)firstly,the validity of the selected materials selected in this paper is tested.Then,we used the single implicit association test to measure the implicit stigma in the homosexual community and discuss the influence of the viewpoint selection on the name of homosexual.(3)the study used three a made-up "gay stigma semantic difference scale" as gay explicit stigma scale,and delve into view see explicit stigma for the gay community intervention effect and mechanism of action.The study found that(1)the self-made "gay stigma semantic difference scale" has a good structure validity,the total table of internal consistency reliability is 0.967,cognition,emotion,and behavior of three sub-scales reliability is 0.936,0.972,0.947,respectively,for the future gay stigma study provides empirical research tools;(2)it is not possible to significantly reduce the stigma of homosexuality in the subjects;(3)theviewpoint selection can significantly reduce the explicit stigma of homosexuality;Based on this,this part from empathy--altruistic assumptions and self-others fusion theory of two paths,found that see the empathy response in the viewpoint of the influence of explicit stigma plays a partial mediation effect,and the regulation of self-esteem is not significant.Therefore,it is of great academic and practical significance to probe into the effective intervention measures of homosexual implicit stigma in the future.
