The use of birch bark objects has a long history.From the world wide point of view,it has appeared in the late Paleolithic period.The use of birch bark for production tools and living appliances in northern China has been more than three thousand years.Northern birch bark is rich in resources,and has the characteristics of soft texture,sheet forming,easy processing,impermeable and light products,and no collision.Therefore,birch skin products are widely used in the hunting nation of Greater Khingan Range.People can hardly leave it,food,food,live and travel,and the hunters have created a distinctive "birch skin culture".The earliest appearance of this culture in our country can be traced back to the early Western Zhou Dynasty,and a birch peeler was unearthed at the top of the room of the Yinggeling site,Ning’an County,Heilongjiang.This paper studies the Ewenki birch bark utensils in Hulun Buir area,based on archaeological unearthed relics and modern birch bark utensils,systematically collate and study the utensils,analyze the utensils and analyze their types,ornaments,uses,functions and so on,thus to the cultural back of the Ewenki nationality.There is a certain understanding of the scene.In this paper,the region is limited to Hulun Buir.The evolution process of the utensils in the same area can be clearly seen through the regional limitation,and the cultural background and historical changes behind them can be spied through the objects.This paper analyzes and studies the archaeological excavations and modern birch bark utensils in Hulun Buir area,Inner Mongolia,through the methods of classification,literature analysis and field investigation,and explores its historical changes,and expounds the relations between the two by the analysis of its ornamentation and the Ewenk ethnic religious belief.The manufacturing technology and inheritance status of birch bark utensils are discussed,and suggestions for inheritance and protection are put forward.
