The Shen Gong Opera which refers to a play performed for “Making merit for God”,is often used by Hong Kong,Macao,and some parts of Guangdong to refer to the drama performed in the events of God's birthday as a Shen Gong opera.Macao has a special historical and cultural environment compared to the mainland.The drama tradition of Shen Gong Opera has been preserved more completely and well here.The study of Macao's Shen Gong opera helped us to better analyze,explore and define the essential connotation of sacrificial drama.At the same time,the development of Shen Gong opera in Macao was better than that of the mainland.It is closer to the market,more closely linked to local culture and community life,and thus provides a model for reference for the development of mainland operas.In this paper,based on the field investigation of the Goddess Festival in Fitchgarden,Macau,the author analyzed and analyzed the Shen Gong Drama.The paper is divided into four chapters to discuss.The introduction part explains the theoretical and practical background of the study of the Shengong Opera,points out the significance of the research and summarizes the current research status in this field;Chapter 2 describes the status of the land beliefs and the performances of the local Shengmu Opera based on the results of the author's field trip.On the basis of this introduction,this paper analyzes and explains the theatre space and the status of the deaf person of the Shen Gong Opera,and concludes three points about the attributes of the Sheng Gong Opera: religiousness,folk custom,and artistic merchandise.At the end of the thesis,based on the particularity of the performances of the Shen Gong Opera in the Macao area,the unique value significance and reference significance are explained.At the same time,suggestions are made for the development of folk opera in the Mainland.
