The adverb “Zai” has complex and changeful meanings and functions.It is used frequently in Chinese and is representative and typical.In the teaching of chinese as a foreign language,the multi-functional adverb “Zai” is also a key and difficult point for foreign students to acquire.This paper studies on the acquisition and teaching of the adverb “Zai” for Foreign Students at the Primary and Intermediate Level.This thesis consists of five chapters.The main contents of each section are as follows:In the introduction part explains the reasons for the topic selection,the significance of the research,summary of research results,the content of the research the source of the corpus,and the main research methods adopted.In the first chapter,by referring to some results of existing researches,including reference books and grammar books,the thesis sums up the meaning of the adverb“Zai”,which is divided into six items,and analyzes the usage of different senses and related formats.The second chapter conducts a questionnaire survey about the learning situation of using the adverb “Zai” for foreign students of the Primary and Intermediate Level from Liaoning University International Education College,and comes to real learning situation.The third chapter is about the errors and causes of the adverb " Zai ".Based on the second chapter,this paper classifies the errors in the acquisition process,and probes into the reasons why the students have errors.The fourth chapter focuses on the causes of errors,from the aspects of foreign students’ learning,teachers’ teaching and textbook compilation to make some targeted recommendations.Based on the analysis of the meaning and related formats of the adverb “Zai”,this thesis investigates the acquisition of the adverb “Zai” in the primary and intermediate level of Chinese.It is found that the foreign students’ grasp of the adverb“Zai” is not very satisfactory and it is easy to appear mixed use,disorder,misinformation,and omission errors,and bias errors are mainly related to thenegative transfer of mother tongue,the over-generalization of the target language rules,the influence of the learning environment,and the learner’s own factors.On this basis,specific suggestions are made on the three aspects of the foreign students themselves,teachers’ teaching,and the compilation of teaching materials,and we hope that this will have a certain practical significance for the adverb “Zai” in teaching Chinese as a foreign language and helping foreign students to acquire the adverb “Zai”. |
