Study On The Vietnamese Translation Of Public Signs In Dongxing From The Perspective Of Ecological Translation

Public signs,as a text or graphic information that face to the public,conveys bulletin,tips,reminders and warnings to the public,it provides convenience for people’s lives.With the deepening and development of the relationship between China and Vietnam,the translation of public signs in Vietnamese translation in Dongxing,Guangxi has become a very important application problem.The realization of bilingual public signs not only can show solicitude and attention of the city for the foreign friends,but also can improve international image,promote the economy and trade,tourism,urban culture and civilization of the city.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to discuss and analyze the translation of public signs in Dongxing.The main research content of this paper includes three parts.Firstly,it mainly analyzes the classification and characteristics of public signs in Vietnamese translation.Through investigating and classifying,the author concludes that the public signs of Vietnamese translation in Dongxing are mainly involved in four major fields,traffic safety public signs,social life public signs,tourism affairs public signs,Cultural Public-welfare public signs,etc.,and the feature of using the nouns(noun phrases),verbs(verb phrases),long or short discourse etc.that with urban cultural characteristics.Secondly,the author analyses the erroneous examples of Vietnamese translation public signs in Dongxing.The types of error mainly include the errors of syntax,pragmatics,culture and Vietnamese in Chinese style etc.Finally,by combining the opinion of“multi-dimensional adaptation and adaptive selection” in ecotranslatology,the author proposes the adaptive selection and transform for Vietnamese translation public signs in Dongxing in language,culture and communication three dimensions.
