The French composer Bizet's opera "Carmen" is a classic repertoire which has been circulated so far.Its script originates from the novel of the same name of Mérimée and is the highest achievement of the nineteenth century French opera.Starting with the difference between the novel and the opera script,this article attempts to reveal thoughts and emotion tendency of the screenwriter and the composer in the new script.Then from the relationship between the plot structure and the musical structure of the script,the author tries to reveal that tactics chosen by the composer not only follow the development of the drama plot but also highlight the necessary structure of the music itself,which involves structure of division,curtain structure and the whole drama structure,so as to gain a deeper understanding about the art integration-opera.Furthermore,in light of the four significant characters,the article explores the musical techniques used by the composer in reshaping these characters and tries to reveal the rich implication behind the sound image.At last,the author explores deeply the individual mind revealed by the composer in reshaping the four drama roles,thus revealing potential influence of Bizet's life,moral orientation as well as music aesthetic interest on the composer's creation.
