With the development of economic globalization and the improvement of China's international status, more and more foreign people want to know about China,a country changing with each passing day,and her culture in order to encourage an increasing number of in-depth exchanges between Chinese and English civilization and enhance the understanding between Chinese and foreign people. In recent years, some good TV interview programs such as One on One have attained high praise among domestic and overseas Chinese by its novel program pattern, profound content and the excellent interviewees. This program puts emphasis on the development of nation and the individual living conditions, upholding the positive energy and correct values, hence the author chooses this program as the interpreting material.Since the 18 th National People's Congress, president Xi Jinping has vigorously promoted to strengthen cultural confidence of the Chinese nation, which requires us to uphold the splendid cultural heritage and profound humanistic connotations in order to make more and more foreign people be aware of this flourishing nation with splendid culture. In China, there are a few of interpreting cases of interview program,so it is necessary to interpret some of them into English, which can not only enhance the influence of Chinese culture, but also provide some references for the similar interpreting tasks. This report mainly discusses how to apply interpretive theory to address problems and difficulties in the process of interpreting. As an instructional theory in interpreting, the development of its application in practice is much behind its theoretical knowledge. The author lists a number of typical cases in interpreting to analyze how to combine theory with practice so as to offer solving ideas to other interpreters facing similar cases. After research, the author finds that the wide differences between Chinese and English will result in many problems and difficulties in terms of lexical representation and sentence structure.According to combining the main process of interpretive theory, namely, comprehension, deverbalization and re-expression,with the related interpreting skills, the majority of problems and difficulties can be solved appropriately.Through this interpreting practice, the author discovers the limitation in the processof analyzing and solving interpreting problems and difficulties. In some situations, the interpreter cannot apply interpretive theory to interpreting cases flexibly, which requires the interpreter to put emphasis on the application of theory in the future in order to let interpretive theory make a real difference.
