A Study On The Influence Of Sketching On Su Baozhen’s Flower And Bird Painting Creation

Under the background of the integration of Chinese and Western culture,the complementation of the two systems of realism and impressionism,Su Baozhen adheres to the artistic foundation of Chinese style,the application of Western style,and the combination of the two,and creates a fresh and elegant painting style,enriches the artistic conception and language of the impressionistic flower and bird painting,and is hishly evaluated by experts at home and abroad.In his career of flower and bird painting,sketching plays an undeniably important role with collecting image,accumulating creative material,enriching the picture effect,an thus creating more accurate flower and bird paintings in the image molding.Nowadays,in the professional training and creation of flower and bird painting,more and more people rely on cameras to record the different objects of natural life and pictures to copy the shape.However,pictures don’t replace sketches.Excessive use of pictures may cause the picture to be lacking in vividness and appeal.Therefore,this study hopes to reveal the importance of sketching by studying the influence of sketching in the creation of Su Baozhen’s flower and bird painting,and enlighten people to study and practice sketching,and thus promote the development of flower and bird painting.Durind the visits of Su Baozhen’s sons Su Su and Su Yang,the author has recorded a large number of Su Baozhen’s sketches,which is a guarantee for the study to carry out.On this basis,the author t studies the influence of sketching on Su Baozhen’s flower and bird painting creation from three aspects.First,sketching is defined,and So Baozhen’s sketches are classified according to the historical background,personal experience,applied materials and application methods.The internal relationship between sketching and Su Baozhen’s flower and bird painting is then analyzed,and the influence of sketching on the creation process,formal characteristics and Su Baozhen’s creative ability is examplifed with three subjects of flowers,birds and fruits and vegetables.Finally,based on the previous studies,the characteristics of sketching distinctive from pictures and its independent value is concluded,to call for painters to pick up sketches.
