Name And Translation Of Urumqi Street

This paper studies the naming and translation of Urumqi street names.Urumqi,as the capital of Xinjiang,is the political,economic and cultural Center,the second Eurasian Continental Bridge,the bridgehead of western China and an important gateway to the West,and is located in the center of Eurasia.The geographical position of Urumqi is vital and its tourism industry has been developing in recent years.As the Urumqi develops rapidly,street planning is also essential,As a kind of public signs,street name plays an important role in the development of Urumqi and city image.Based on the theory of cognitive linguistics,this paper explores the naming and translation of Urumqi street names,and divides the articles into introduction,text,epilogue and references.The introduction part expounds the present research background and research significance of this thesis.The second chapter outlines the geographical position and development course of Urumqi and the way of naming Urumqi street names,Through the summary of relevant content of Urumqi,deepen the understanding of Urumqi;By classifying and contrasting the corpus of street name Chinese translation into Uighur,the method of classification and the uniqueness of street naming are found out.The third chapter is to find out the translation methods and skills of street name Chinese translation into Uighur through the classification and understanding of corpus.In the fourth chapter,through the careful analysis and contrast of corpus,the paper sums up the change and characteristic of street name in naming.The fifth chapter summarizes the problems existing in the translation of Urumqi street names and puts forward the solutions.The last part is the conclusion,summarizing the whole article.
