A Practice Report On Simulation Of The C-E CI Of The Documentary Of Looking To This Age: Unveiling Jilin Province

This thesis is a practice report on simulated C-E consecutive interpretation on the documentary of Looking to This Age:Unveiling Jilin Province.The task of this report is to analyze the interpreter’s shortcomings in logic and come up with corresponding strategies.The documentary of Looking to This Age:Unveiling Jilin Province tells the progress in all respects of Jilin province since the 18^thCPC Congress.This practice report mainly studies logic disorder during interpretating.In this documentary,colloquial words and common use of popular expressions as well as fast speed all make it more difficult as interpretation requires an interpreter to react within three to five seconds.Through analysis,the author finds causes of his problem in logic disorder namely influence of source sentence structure and reference ambiguity.Under the guidance of interpretive theory,the author comes up with corresponding solutions:sentence reconstruction in target language and information supplementation.The thesis focuses on causes and solutions of logic disorder.Through this thesis,the author finds out that only when we pay attention to logic during interpretation can we communicate more effectively.The author hopes that this report can provide useful reference for later learners.
