| Kuo Hsiang’s Mind-nature philosophy consistes of the main content of no mind and adaptability nature.“No mind”means people have no difference in the treatment of all things,so he put forward the proposition of "no mind led people to act smoothly".when comes to the opinion of adaptability nature,Kuo Hsiang emphasizes that the "nature" is the natural nature of every individual thing.Each individual thing has its own nature,which are all different.In the face of the unchanging nature,each individual thing can get the satisfaction of their spirit.In order to form one’s mind,Kuo Hsiang puts forward that we should promote our ’mind,nature and way’.The first one is with an empty mind,even forget oneself,in order to reach the realm of sooth life.The second,’adaptability nature’ is important to meet one’s spirit,as long as follow the nature.The third,in order to achieve the ultimate transcendence of individual life,which beyond its own limited experience,people should have an empty mind to build an ideal realm of life of ’combining with Taoism into one’.In addition,according to the people’s innate and acquired cultivation,Kuo Hsiang has distinguished people’s spiritual realm between two categories,one is ’adaptive free’,which means most people can get individual spirit in the "proper" within the scope of the meeting.The other is ’no mind led to people act smoothly’,which menas only the saints of God can achieve the ’Hue’ level,where everything in the world comes together,and all things are one,and forget the difference and boundaries between me and others.Generally speaking,Kuo Hsiang’s Mind-nature philosophy,not only inherits all and develop Chuang-tzu’s philosophical thought,but also mediates the relationship between Confucianism and Taoism,and put forward the ’ideal personality of Confucianism and the comprehensive of the saints’,which gets the saints of Confucianism and Taoism together.In addition,Kuo Hsiang’s Mind-nature philosophy has great influence on the ’no mind Zong’ which is one of the ’six seven’ which mainly study Buddhism Prajna.It has certain inspiration significance to support the ’Dorian peripateticism’.The renaissance of the following philosophy of metaphysics of Sui and Tang Dynasties and NEO-Confucianism are based on it.It also shows that Kuo Hsiang’s Mind-nature philosoph has been a bridge to the NEO-Confucianism to discuss the concept of mind,nature and laws. |
