In modern economic life, the exertion of regulation has played an increasingly important role in the development of modern enterprises and institutions. The quality of regulation is an important indicator of the effectiveness of modern enterprise management.Strengthening and improving regulation mechanism is conducive to the realization of business goals and public policy goals. The book New Perspective of Regulation mainly explains how to deal with financial crisis and improve regulation mechanism to ensure more lasting economic prosperity. The translator selected Chapter 6 “the Promise and Pitfalls of Co-Regulation: How Governments Can Draw on Private Governance for Public Purpose” as the material for translation practice.Chapter 6 focuses on the potential role played by non-government agencies in promoting positive regulatory outcomes, especially those non-government agencies that are closely related to the business community. The report mainly consists of four parts, which describe the translation task, translation process, case analysis and post-translation summary. The translator mainly compares the original text and the target text from two levels of vocabulary and syntax, analyzes the translation process according to the principle of functional equivalence and skopos theory. The translator performs a careful and detailed sentence structure analysis on those long and complicated sentences, combining translation theory with practice. After reviewing, scrutinizing and polishing, the translator gradually solves specific problems encountered in the translation process. While enhancing language ability through this translation practice, the translator also learned relevant knowledge in the field of economical regulation.
