Zilan Guan was the founder of the early modernist oil painting in China,and also one of the most innovative female painters in the Chinese painting circle.Zilan Guan lived in the Republic of China during the period of the modernization of the city and the Western modern art trend of the "international" metropolis Shanghai,in the society at that time she was a dazzling star in the painting industry and the fashion industry,her paintings The works and art photos are often published in famous journals at that time.Her painting art is influenced by Eastern traditional culture and influenced by Western modern art.Eventually she integrates urban culture with Western modern art on the basis of oriental traditional culture.The 9way of expression,from which to find the Chinese and Western art convergence,forms a painting language with unique artistic features.This article takes Zilan Guan ’s study of the origins of modernist painting and the development of Shanghai’s modernity as clues,uses sociological and graphic methods to comb the causes of modernity in Zilan Guan ’s paintings,and then expounds the expression of modernity in Zilan Guan ’s paintings,and summarizes the modernization of Zilan Guan ’s paintings.The inspiration of sexual painting to the contemporary.This article is divided into four chapters:Chapter One begins with the exploration of the relationship between modernity and modernism,analyzes the relationship between modernist painting and modernity,and argues that the Western modernist trends of thought have produced Chinese social and cultural development based on the dissemination of western modernist trends of thought.The influence and the status quo of the development of Western modernist art in China.The second chapter discusses the reasons for the formation of modernity in Zilan Guan ’s paintings.Mainly from two aspects to start the argument: First,the social status quo,due to the development of western modernity in China first of all to make the city’s public space changes in Shanghai,that is,the transformation of traditional Chinese rural cities to international metropolis;second modern and fashionable women It has influenced the development of urban culture;Second,culture and art,based on the geographical environment of Zilan Guan’s study of modernist paintings,the influence of Shanghai art and Japanese print ukiyo-e paintings on Zilan Guan’s paintings;Chapter 3 is the core chapter of this article.The image analysis method discusses the manifestation of modernity in Zilan Guan ’s paintings mainly in two aspects: First,“Fashion Painting” is mainly the urbanization of painting theme and the shaping of new female characters.Zilan Guan lives in the cosmopolitan metropolis of Shanghai.With the development and change of the city,her painting themes are constantly changing.The theme of painting is being reformed on the basis of tradition,mainly reflecting modern urban products and modern women..Secondly,Zilan Guan ’s female image in her paintings has changed from a new woman with oriental temperament to a modern female character with modern European and American features,and the secularization of landscape painting has reflected the changes of urban modernity from the side.The fourth chapter is mainly attributed to the enlightenment of Zilan Guan’s modern artistic spirit to future generations.In the artistic trend of art diversification,Zilan Guan not only forgot to combine with the culture of his own while accepting the trend of modern art,thus creating a modern art with the characteristics of the times.Her spirit of artistic exploration influences many art practitioners in later generations.
