An Analysis Of The Application And Performance Of Drama Elements In Chen Yi's Piano Works

Over the past hundred years,composers have made many attempts the Chinese music model.Based on the Western composition techniques,they integrated Chinese unique ethnic characteristics into their works,including the artistic combination of Chinese opera and piano.As a world-renowned Chinese-American female composer,Chen Yi has won a number of world-class honors in the composition filed,and her works have been well received by music circle both at home and abroad.The greatest feature of her creative style is the organic convergence of Chinese folk music with Western modern music,which has formed a distinctive and attractive nationalistic compositional style.Most of her works adopt the traditional western music as the main musical structure,and use the elements of ethnic folk music as the main compositional material.Based on the existing research achievements,the paper try to sum up the characteristics of the opera style and elements utilized and interpret them by putting it into the background of the Chinese piano works.Based on the existing research achievements as the basis,the paper try to sum up the characteristics of the opera style and elements utilized and interpret them through the big picture of the Chinese piano composition,hence to provide a more substantial case for the study of Chinese modern piano music and some useful suggestions to the performers.
