The Study Of John Berger's Watching Theory

John Berger is described as person of multiple occupations such as writer,painter,art historians and art critic,the typical "slash" people.People often describe him as the "art critic/Marxist/painter".Being proficient in a variety of art forms and artistic creators,having unique insights,strong interest for art itself guided his exploration of ongoing innovation paradigm and novel criticism Angle,creating and building especially for watching theory explanation and expounding of various kinds of art forms.Berger's interest is about rich,extensive research field,books,to watch the theoretical knowledge by a very profound "seeing" way of the accumulation of experience.In the field of cultural criticism and art criticism,with a critical eye,the challenge was pointing to art historians E.H.Gombrich and Kenneth Clark as representative authority on art history's creation significance about image viewing theory.In the criticism of the traditional visual culture of its unpopularity,the status of the viewer is elevated to new higher level,and from this perspective he began to write"Seeing" and "Ways of Seeing".The paper analyzed that Berger clearly pointed out that the artist's creation is only a part of the image performance,artists,false institutional performance against those who are not real.Artists with courage started to overthrow everything has become to be a "stick to" convention,breaking the system and being the default and correct the traditional,trying a new interpretation of the world,changing the way of viewing and reception of methods and perspectives.Video making personal views with makers seeing the world,ways and partly determines the effect of our watching and the focus of attention,but the specific watching process,the watching methods and the subsequent ones to accept or to watch are different from person to person,full of personalized and era characteristics.The thesis's viewing and discussing the theoretical and practical significance,try to build Berger's watching theory system of the theory of contact to watch the actual implementation of Berger on watching acceptable practice.This paper is divided into five parts:the first part of the introduction,mainly about contribution to the theory on the literature review.The second part is about the theories of watching of art history origin and philosophical analysis,mainly on the awakening of subject consciousness,in watching animals gazing and marginalized feature.The third part is the innovation paradigm of Berger's to watch the way and the image in the cognitive analysis,according to different forms of art watching relationships' refactoring,including painting,watching commercials,watching photography,revealed the verification and the relationship between image and watch,a new image of "see and to be" relations in different performances.The fourth part is the humanities concerning in the process of analysis of watching and humanistic feelings.Paying close attention to the creation of Berger on photograph and painting process and indepth analysis on the complement of art appreciation to accept contribution in the gap,in comparison to Gombrich,Benjamin's theory.And then I think that Berger's watching theory more clearly shows the relationship among the photograph,painting and the world.The fifth part is about summarizing the full text.
