Study On Earthquake And Social Response In Gansu During The Ming And Qing Dynasties

During the Ming and Qing dynasties,earthquakes occurred frequently in Gansu province.Firstly,the formation and present situation of earthquake belt in Gansu province are briefly described.By means of the graph,the 355 earthquakes that occurred or affected Gansu in the Ming and Qing dynasties were sorted out to show the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of historical earthquakes in different periods.Then discussed 6 1/2 level of Gansu earthquake in 1477,longyou1556,8 magnitude earthquake,hestates delighted many customers and 6 earthquake in1573,fell earth-quake tower7,1609,1654,Tianshui nutrient-laden of 7 magnitude 8earthquake,1718,1879,wu 8 1/2 leveearthquake after the earthquake disaster situation of Gansu province.These earthquakes because of its magnitude is high,the intensity is strong,the destructive to Gansu,spread to a wide range of natural ecological environment and human life caused great destruction,gave people a devastating disaster.Based on the analysis of the severe earthquake,the basic framework is briefly outlined,then the data is summarized,and the general situation of Gansu earthquake in the Ming and Qing dynasties is described in detail.The seven major earthquakes in the Ming and Qing dynasties brought profound impacts to the rural economic and social communities in Gansu,and the most obvious one was the destruction of population,resources and environment.People are constantly dying and disabled,and their mental state is also in shock.In addition,livestock deaths,also a large economic loss.Secondly,the destruction of the ecological environment.The collapse of the mountain,the collapse of the surface,the diversion of rivers,the destruction of houses,farmland,roads,water conservancy projects,etc.,the social production and life after the earthquake have been difficult to recover.Once again,the destruction of social organizations has paralyzed social management in the earthquake zone.What is more unexpected is the post-earthquake disaster: famine,pestilence,floods and so on,which have been haunting people for a long time.Following the seven major earthquakes,the human and animal casualties,the destruction of buildings and the serious secondary disasters in Gansu province,to comprehensively discuss the impact of the earthquake on the regional economic society.From the central government's relief measures,the reconstruction of local government,civil society organizations aid,the three groups for the understandingand the thinking process of earthquake,study populations in the earthquake disaster area relief measures,make us more clear understanding to the rulers of the relief mechanism.
