Study On The Writing Of Dunhuang Manuscripts

The Dunhuang relic Huayan Sutra copied by Cao Fashou,which is discussed in this paper.It is well perserved in the Palace Museum.It refers to the Chinese ink brush handwriting,which contains the exact chronology of the Chinese text.The author investigates the characters,society related to the Dunhuang posthumous,history and other aspects to explore the value from the perspective of calligraphy.In the thesis,the writer mainly study on the calligraphy of thirty-fourth volume of the Dunhuang relic Huayan Sutra.First of all,the writer has a good knowledge on the historical background,the existence,the writers and different writing styles of Dunhuang scriptures in different periods as detailed as possible.Secondly,understand the text of Huayan Sutra deeply,and analysis the style of it.In the end,through the problems of the writing method,the glyph structure,the composition and so on,the author completes the research on the writing study of it.In this paper,in order to expound the calligraphy artistic value of the Dunhuang edition of the Huayan Sutra in a more comprehensive way and reveals the overall style and features of Dunhuang scriptures calligraphy,the author makes an investigation of it in the context of society and history at that time.Through the comprehensive study on the writing about Cao Fachou’s Dunhuang scriptures calligraphy of Huayan Sutra to improves the level of hand-writing and aesthetic ability.
