Studies On Deng Fulun And His Poetry Anthology Bai Xiangting

Hunan School of Poets is an important regional poetry school in modern Chinese literature history.This school is aim to imitate the Han Wei and the Six Dynasties.Both Deng Fulun and Wang Kaiyun are master poets in this school and they occupy an important position in it.Then moment when Deng came into the view of literary arena,he has attracted great attention via frequent communication with peers.When he was young,he secured an official position.However,framed by some of his colleagues,he had no choice but to live in seclusion near the Bai Xiang Lake in his hometown where he took up teaching as his own career.His poetry characterized with imitation on the style of the Han Wei and the Six Dynasties.Meanwhile,he also learned widely from the Zhao Ming Selected Works and famous poet Du Fu.Deng ’s poetry involves a very wide range of content that reflects the contemporary modern despite the fact of imitation.His works,endowed with his sentiments and feelings mirror the turbulence of society,the people’s suffering livelihood sufferings,and the ups and downs of his own life.There exists a limited number of Deng’s poems only three volumes of his poems handed down,a whole volume of which is pertinent to poet Tao Yuanming in the Bai Xiangting Poety Anthology,showing that Tao Yuanming and his poems exerted a great influence to Deng’s creation.In breaf,Deng ’s outstanding gifts in poems made an indelible contribution to modern poetic form.
