The concept of filial piety,as one of the important contents of the ethical ideology system, has the function of reconciling human natural attributes and social attributes.Regardless of expressing enthusiasm for parents and children in the Book of Songs,or the principle of government affairs for the respect of ancestors and the inheritance of their father's father, the idea of filial piety attempts to interpret people's nature emotion and social identity deeply in the pre-Qin literature. With the transition from Shintoism to awakening, the Confucian scholars represented by Confucius and Mencius made a series of designs on the original intentions of filial piety affection, the expandability of filial piety objects, and the detailed arrangement of kinship and social ethics. The regulations on filial piety and related grades, such as "Book of Rites","Rituals",and "The Book of Filial Piety",made filial piety the function of regulating ethical relations at both the political and social levels. The characteristics of filial piety at the beginning of its creation also given filial piety as a possible drawback of social governance and the original sin.The concept of filial piety has been smeared on social and political figures in the Han Dynasty. At the beginning of all systems, the rationality was always greater than the flaws. The Han Dynasty consistently implemented political and social education methods that encourage people to honor their relatives. For example, filial selection of officials, preferential treatment for the elderly, rewarding and punishing. In the long history of the Western Han Dynasty and even the early Eastern Han Dynasty,it played a very good role in social governance.Although there were some pathological filial piety,it was just a case.Raising parents, emphases on emotion and reality, and thick and thin burial was still the normal expression of filial piety in the Western Han Dynasty to the early Eastern Han Dynasty. Some of the governance methods and social trends that emerged from the concept of filial piety have entered lower reaches in the middle and late Eastern Han Dynasty, resulting in the development of pathological filial piety. With the concept of filial piety of family morality has become an important aspect of social and political ethics, the emergence of pathological filial piety was not surprising in the middle and late Eastern Han Dynasty, such as the expansion of filial piety objects, thick and poor burial, considerable ghost colors, and destruction of mortality. As for the cause of pathological filial piety, one aspect is fame and fortune. The deeper reason is that in order to govern the society and the people at the national level, the concept of filial piety was excessively promoted and had not mechanism for name-taking and accountability. The transfer of filial piety to loyalty, the ups and downs of deception, and the tilt of ideological and administrative policies made the notion of filial piety, which has not been so unbearable, became increasingly morbid, resulting decline in the middle and late Eastern Han Dynasty.During the ruler's process of managing the world with filial piety, filial piety has expanded from the family private morality to social morality, and the concept of filial piety has gradually evolved. It has reached an extreme anomaly situation in the middle and late Han dynasty. This pathological filial piety not only kill the human nature, but also seriously jeopardize the physical and mental health of younger generations. With the corruption of the system,a social hypocrisy was created. When people are under it,they are bustling and profit-taking.The social atmosphere has changed rapidly, causing people to sigh.
