The Contradiction Of Class Nature And Humanity In Feng Deying’s “Three Flowers”

1949—1966 Chinese Literature was very important in Chinese Contemporary Literature history.The study about 1949—1966 was rich,which was mainly involved with literature writing,spirit and so on.After Mao Zedong’s “Yan An Forum on Literature and Art”,1949—1966 Chinese literature writing has showed strongly class nature.Literature was deeply intervened by politics.The dominating figures have great sense of class nature,which have little humanity.As for 1949—1966 Chinese literature writings,most of the writings were showed the protagonists ‘bravely、selfless,the normally、abundant humanity was instead.The figures’ emotion was also limited in the love of class.Therefore,1949—1966 Chinese literature writings have weakly humanity.The class nature was much greater than humanity.“Before the Great Cultural Revolution,Chinese literature created a lot of the image of the proletariat’s heroes,which not only have personality but also indicated the spirit of times.For example,Jiang Jie in “Red Rock”,Shao Jianbo in “Tracks in The Snowy Forest”,Liang Shengbao in “History of Entrepreneurship”,etc.However,with the war of the classes became more and more sharp,the personality of heroes were gradually melted in class nature.The figures went further and further from reality,became less and less humanity.”With the frame of class nature,Feng’s writing expressed the proletariat’s revolution.However,during showing the proletariat’s revolution,the humanity of “Three Flowers” was much more than other novels.Feng wanted to eulogize the heroes of proletariat,so that his writings have strongly the revolution of proletariat.In heroes’ opinion,the revolution career was higher than everything.In order to protect the secret of revolution,the heroes of proletariat would rather sacrifice their families’ life;in order to expend the general public,the heroes were fighting on the first night of his marriage;in order to consolidate the revolution,the heroes would rather bear hungry.On the other side,the negative characters were only care about the interest of themselves.To protect their own interest,they could cruelly kill their families;to protect their life,they abandoned their keens to run away,etc.Besides,the class nature of “Three Flowers” expressed on the appearance of the figures.As the other novels of red classics,the protagonists were very beautiful,but the negative figures were extremely ugly.Through reading the text of “Three Flowers”,we could know that the writing expressed revolution and humanity at the same time.Other red classics novels have little love description,and have only the love of revolutionists,some novels even didn’t have it.However,there were lots of different kinds of love,including the revolutionist’s love s;the love of childhood sweetheart;the affair.“Three Flowers” also revealed the growth of revolutionist.Lots of heroes were not the ripe revolutionists,they were growing.At the beginning of their revolution,they would have some complain about revolution.Surely,the heroes in “Three Flowers” have the right of crying、showing their pain when they lose their families.During the process of showing the class nature and humanity,“Three Flowers” has formed its unique contradictoriness.First,the expression of class nature was not enough.When the figure was making a choice between her family and the revolution,the writer wanted to show the figure’s class nature.However,the writer expressed their hesitate unconsciousness.The hesitating at this moment was just humanity,which weakened the class nature of the figure.Second,the expression of humanity was not completely because the control of class nature.The description of love could reveal fully,but it doesn’t.At last,the class nature and the humanity tangled together lead to its contradiction.The root cause of the contradiction was the policy of “Seventeen Years” and Feng’s pursuit of art.The result of this contradiction is the unique of “Three Flower”.For example,Feng using some ways to make the affair between Huazi and Lao qi became legal;Lots of folk songs、nongovernmental word’s enhance the unique of “Three Flower”.All of this has proved that “Three Flowers” were great literature rather than poisonous herb.There were a lot of researches about Feng’s revolution.As for the humanity and the contradiction of the class nature and the humanity in his writing,there was little people research about it.This thesis use the way of textual analysis to analysis the contradiction of the class nature and the humanity in “Three Flowers”.By analyzing this contradiction,hoping not only to show the same contradiction in “Seventeen years”,but also get the significance of it.
