Research Of Ma Shuilong Songs

Ma Shuilong is a famous composer in Taiwan,was born in 1939 in Taiwan,Keelung.He graduated from state-run Taiwan University of the Arts(formerly state-run arts junior college)in 1964,he majored in composition and minored in piano and cello.In 1972,he received a full scholarship from the Regensburg Conservatory and went to study in Germany,four years later graduated with honors.In 1986,he went to study in the United States as a scholar.He was the first Taiwan composer to make a solo exhibition at the Lincoln center in New York.The lifetime of Ma Shuilong had obsessed with the Chinese cultural traditional,he had created a number of Musical works,to built their own unique style of works and has deep enlightening to the development of Taiwan’s music.He has a large number of works and a wide range of the genres,he is a prolific composer,the words include orchestral music,chamber music,piano music,vocal music,choral music,stage play and so on,that have been published in twenty countries,covered domestic,Europe and the United states,south Africa,southeast Asia and so on,being highly praise by people at home and abroad.These works are valuable resources for our music students,it is worth our in-depth study and exploration.In this paper,"Ma Shuilong songs" was published by the administration cultural construction committee as the research object,through collect the literatures and sound materials of the composer and songs,try from different angles and in various analysis methods to research eight songs by the songs embodied,thus explore the artistic features and singing that of the composer’s songwriting.The article is divided into three sections:,text and conclusion.The introduction part is an overview of the whole paper,firstly illustrates the selected topic significance,the second is for sorting and analyzing the research status of Ma shuilong songs,thirdly it points out the research methods used in this paper,finally,it explains the limitations and shortcomings of the paper.The first chapter is divided into two segments introduces the life and arts creation of the composer Mr.Ma,the first section describes the composer’s family background,school experience,honorary title,teaching career;secondly introduces the works of different genres by composer and various awards,finally explain the origin of the songs.The second chapter detailed research on "Ma Shuilong songs" the works of creation and artistic features,to analyze lyrics and music techniques of the eight songs,and pry about his songs writing characteristics from the aspects of material,melody,structure,harmony,tonal,rhythm,accompaniment and so on.The third chapter to interpretation and specific analysis singing of Ma Shuilong songs,the first section summarizes the overall grasp of the songs by Mr.Ma,respectively from two aspects that before singing and singing to specific discusses how to grasp,the second section concrete analysis eight songs how to sing.In this paper throw away a brick in order to get a jade,for further research and singing his songs to pave the road in the future.
