E-C Translation Of The Introduction And Chapter 1 Of From Within The Frame:Storytelling In African-american Fiction

This is a translation project from English into Chinese,together with a commentary.The translated pericope is from From Within the Fame:Storytelling in African-American Fiction,which was written by Bertram D.Ashe and was published in Routledge in 2002.The book mainly talks about the history of storytelling in African-American fiction and the differences among the fictions,and analyzes the relationship between the author,narrator,listener and reader.The selected part includes the introduction and chapter 1 of this book entitled "'A little personal attention'storytelling and the Black Audience in Charles W.Chesnutt's The Conjure Woman."The Introduction briefly introduces the different characters of African-American fictions by different authors.In Chapter 1,the author focuses on Charles.W.Chesmutt's Book---The Conjure Woman.Under the guidance of Tyltler's translation principles,this translated project is well accomplished by using varied translation strategies and approaches.In this translation project,the strategies such as semantic extension,conversion of words classes and reframing discourse and so on are used to reproduce the message of original text.All the translation strategies are used to make the translated text conform to Chinese usage.
