Lingao Dialect is spoken in the northern area of Hainan Province,which is a continuous area ranging from the Nandu River in Qiongshan County in the east to Xinying Harbor in Lingao County in the west,from Zuntan in Qiongshan County,Bailian in Chengmai County and Nanfeng in Dan County in the south to Qiongzhou Strait in the north,covering all of Lingao County and part of Dan County,Chengmai County,Qiongshan County and the suburbs of Haikou city.Based on the literature materials and field survey materials,this paper investigates the discrepancy in the distribution of the classifiers in different areas and points out some special grammatical usage of classifiers in Lingao Dialect in Hainan Province,while describing and analyzing the constitution of classifiers and the grammatical characteristics of the language.This paper is divided into six chapters:The first chapter serves as the introduction,introducing the research overview and current situation of the Lingao Dialect and its classifiers.The second chapter mainly discusses the individual classifiers and collective classifiers of Lingao Dialect,and summarizes the Chinese words and dialects in these two categories.The third chapter discusses the time classifiers,measure words,classification classifiers,indefinite words,nominal classifiers and action classifiers in Lingao Dialect,and summarizes the situation of the Chinese words and dialects of these classifiers.The fourth chapter mainly describes the special grammatical usage of classifiers in Lingao Dialect.In the fifth chapter,the distribution of classifiers in the dialect is compared.Chapter 6 is the conclusion.
