In recent years, the research of dialect classifier gradually causes quantifier language researchers’ attention, and has achieved some success. Based on the previous studies, we studied dialect classifiers of domesticated animals which is a small part of dialect classifier.Linguistic typology is the research horizons, and the Dictionary of Chinese Dialects which edited by Mr. Li Rong is the most important research material. After a comprehensive study of dialect classifiers of domesticated animals, we choosed cow, pig, horse, fish, and chicken as the main domesticated animals. Statistics, comparison, inductive and deductive are the main methods of this paper. The correspondence and matching relations between noun and classifiers are the two important research perspectives. First, we analyzed which noun of domesticated animal the individual classifier could modify that composed of one-to-one or one-to-many with classifiers basis. Second, we analyzed which individual classifier the noun of domesticated animal could be modified that also composed of one-to-one or one-to-many but with noun basis. Respectively, we analyzed the correspondence between noun and classifiers of mandarin dialect area and non-mandarin dialect area, and compared the similarities and differences. Regarding the matching relations between noun and classifiers, we mainly studied which individual classifier the noun, such as Niu, Zhu, Ma, Ji and Yu, could match. Respectively, we also analyzed the matching relations between noun and classifiers of mandarin dialect area and non-mandarin dialect area, and compared the similarities and differences. At last, we summarized the rule.Additionally, based on the rules obtained in a comparative analysis, we summarized the common features of mandarin dialect area and non-mandarin dialect area. We also analyzed the development vein of generic classifiers by researching the features of Zhi and Tou, and the correlation between the correspondence, matching relations and the relationship of different dialect area. And the effects of dialect on mandarin are another complementary study.
