A Research On Communication Of Buddhism Based On Monks' Using WeChat In Amdo Tibetan Area

The monastic life with morning bell and evening drum,green light and yellow volume,make the monks stay away from the hustle and bustle of the secular world,although the Buddhism and quiet monastic life the monks advocate contradict the purpose of secular mass media,modern media has become the unavoidable information tool.The emergence of new media,not only changes the media use way of the monks,but also brings about changes for the propagation behavior of Buddhism.WeChat,as the most common media form,has stepped quietly into the life of the monks.This study attempts to discuss the behavior of the monks' use of WeChat for the spread of Tibetan Buddhism,deeply analyzes the characteristics of the spread of Tibetan Buddhism showed on WeChat,and to explore the modern evolution of the WeChat in the spread of Buddhist of monks.This study starts from the WeChat contact behavior of the monks group,know their media usage and new technology acceptance situation through the questionnaire.And then through in-depth interviews,deeply understand and analyze their behavior by using WeChat for the spread of Buddhism.The new media,while strengthening and expanding the influence of the traditional opinion leaders,has also reshaped a new group of practitioners who have practiced "human Buddhism".Through WeChat,they have constructed a variety of transmission modes' organic combination,such as We Media which is achieved by the public numbers,a small group of communication group achieved by the friends circle and group chat "Ashram",peer-to-peer interpersonal communication.In the Buddhist world constructed by WeChat,Buddhism is more secularized,life-oriented,express pious religious feelings,compassionate world heart through religious practice,pay more attention to promote the behavior of Buddhist ideas.WeChat brings closer transmission way to the modern society for the monks,not only rich the traditional Buddhism spread form,but also broaden the scope of Buddhism spread.But the impact of new media technology on monks' life has also become an unavoidable topic,the deviation caused by multiple interpretation of traditional religious authority also makes the monks' new round of thinking on the development of religious culture.
