English writing teaching plays a very significant role in junior high school,and it is also one of the most difficult parts in teaching.Bilateral Five-ring Guidance mode(BFG mode)is a more efficient teaching mode which transforms the traditional writing teaching method into students' experience writing mode under New Curriculum concept.In this mode,the teacher and students work together to finish the teaching tasks,promoting students' self-learning,cooperative learning and inquiry-based learning.Teachers and students teach and learn from each other,truly achieving “Teach-Learn-Do amalgamation”.The author took the research on BFG mode at home and aboard for reference,and discovered that the research on BFG mode related to the field of English writing teaching is still rare.And there are more experimental summaries with less systematically theoretical support.This paper summarizes the theoretical foundations of BFG construction,and minutely elaborates the experiment procedures of BFG mode in junior high school English writing so as to stimulate students' writing enthusiasm,train students to master scientific and effective writing strategies,as well as improve their writing achievements.Based on “Scaffolding theory”,“Discovery Learning theory”,“Sociocultural theory”,and the concept of New Curriculum Standard,the author selected 45 students from Lanzhou NO.69 middle school as the experimental subjects,and did an empirical research with conventional teaching method and BFG teaching mode for four teaching stages(19 weeks in total)in order to test if junior high school students' English writing strategies and writing achievements can be improved by the application of BFG mode.The main research instruments are questionnaire and test.And the author used the EXCEL 2016 and SPSS(19 Edition)for data entry and Paired Samples Test analysis.The research shows,students' writing strategies are improved(M=3.21,SD=0.405),and their writing achievement has also been improved(M=10.600,SD=2.1653,P=.000).Therefore,the application of BFG mode in improving junior high school students' writing strategies and their English writing achievement has effectiveness.The paper has certain both theoretical and practical value for junior high school English writing teaching in China,and it makes teachers' design more targeted.In addition,the author proposed some limitations and suggestions of the research for further study at the end of the paper.
