Study On Memorial Poems Of The Huanghuagang Uprising(1917-1949)

The Huanghuagang Uprising was an important uprising during modern Chinese history and Sun Yat-sen praised that the Huanghuagang Uprising was as important as the Wuchang Uprising.Although the Huanghuagang Uprising was failed,it became the guide of the Revolution of 1911.Therefore,Kuomintang conducted the public mourning ceremony for memorizing 72 Martyrs and building his own revolutionary history from 1912,and solar calender March 29th was established for the Yellow Flower Festival in 1928.During the modern period,the writing of memorial poems of the Huanghuagang Uprising was existed all the time,which produced lots of memorial poems.The writing process of memorial poems began in 1911 and ended in 1949.There were five steps of memorial poems writing,and memorial poems were numerous during the Northern Expedition as well as the Anti-Japanese War.Memorial poems writing often used Chinese classical poetry images and the fading plants,sunset,cuckoo,blood,chrysanthemum were popular with the most memorial poems writers,and blood as well as chrysanthemum formed special group of images.There were lots of classical memorial poems and as for the historic characteristics of memorial poems writing,political nature as well as modernity were distinctive.Meanwhile,memorial poems contain literary value and were beneficial to the propaganda of Kuomintang politics as well as the Anti-Japanese War,which made the canonization of memorial poems began during the modern period.During the contemporary period especially in the new era,many memorial poems spread and popularized widely,and the Butterflies Lingering over Flowers written by Huang Xing has been one of the memorial poems canon.
