With sustained,healthy and rapid development of China's economy and the deepening of reform and opening up and the growing of China's comprehensive national strength,international exchanges have become increasingly frequent in political,economic,cultural and other aspects.In the process of “going out”and“coming in”,interpretation has been playing an increasingly prominent role in serving the reform and opening up and acting as the bridge of communication with the world.Information fidelity is the primary criterion to measure the quality of consecutive interpretation,followed by the accuracy and fluency of the target language.As interpreters,we are playing an important role in the foreign trade activities and we are the link of communication between different countries.In order to meet the chllenge and demand,the author organizes this mock meeting which is the preparation to become a qualified interpreter.This mock meeting report is based on the negotiation between Ethiopia and China about texile trade.The aim is to improve the quality of the interpretation in terms of pragmatism.The author has made case study and found out the possible solution for these problems based on this practice.This thesis consists of an introduction,the main body and a conclusion.Its main contents are as follows:The first part is the introduction,which mainly makes a brief summary of the previous research of business communication interpreting,and then points out the great significance of the paper.The second part is the main body,which is made up of four chapters:Chapter One mainly introduces the nature of the task,the background of the task,the basic information of customers and their company,and the reason for choosing the task for discussion.Chapter Two mainly introduces the whole process of the business communication interpretation,including the preparation before the interpretation and the process of the oral interpretation.Interpretation process is divided into three parts: business negotiations,business dinners,and visits to factories.Business negotiations are about negotiations between the two companies on the import and export of textile-related content;business dinner is about the speech on the bilateral trade;visiting the factory is a matter of foreign company's visit to China's factory in order to understand the specific production.Chapter Three mainly describes the main contents of interpretation that is the characteristics of business interpretation,which includes the professional vocabulary,the ability to respond quickly and a good reserve of cultural knowledge.This chapter presents the difficulties and the corresponding solutions in business interpretation,such as interpreting numbers,dialect,cultural allusions and so on.Chapter Four focuses on the analysis of interpretation.This chapter is divided into two parts: the unsolved issues and the relevant reflection of the problems.The unsolved issues include the customer's background knowledge base,the grasp of the tone and the attitude,the grasp of cultural differences;the relevant reflection of the problems include increasing vocabulary,and the master of rhetorical and cultural differencesThe last part is the conclusion,which makes a summary of the preceding critique,and points out the main purpose of this thesis.
