Romantic Attachment,the Big Five Research On Marriage Quality Impact Mechanism:Mediating Role Of Emotional Intelligence

With the rapid development of society,human’s pressure is growing with the intensified competition,and their marriages are also affected a lot.This study is in order to explore the influence factors and operation mechanism of the marriage quality,then to make reasonable suggestions on this basis,which enhance marital satisfaction of married population,for promoting family harmony and building harmonious society.This study,as an empirical research,analyzed and summarized the relevant literatures both in China and abroad,combination of questionnaire investigation method of research.“Locke-Wallace Marital Adjustment Test(MAT)”,“Experience in Close Relationship Scale(ECR)”,“Big Five Personality Scale(NEO-FFI)”,“Emotional Intelligence Scale of Chinese version(WLEIS-C)” were chosen as four measuring scales.Used random sampling method to select 262 married people in Guangdong Province and other areas for surveying.According to the statistical analysis of valid data,issues related to romantic attachment,emotional intelligence,personality traits and marriage quality of married individuals were explored.SPSS19.0 and AMOS17.0 were employed as statistic analyzing tool,various statistical methods such as independent-samples T test,ANOVA,structural equation modeling were exercised to draw the following conclusions:(1)Romantic attachment,emotional intelligence,marriage quality varying degrees of difference in gender,age,marriage age,number of children and other demographic characteristics.(2)The two dimensions of romantic attachment(attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance)are both negatively correlated to marriage quality,romantic attachment has a significant negative prediction on marriage quality.(3)Emotional intelligence and marriage quality show a significant positive correlation,emotional intelligence has a significant positive prediction on marriage quality.(4)The big five personality dimensions of neuroticism and marital quality is(5)significantly negatively correlated,extraversion,agreeableness,conscientiousness three dimensions are significantly correlated with marriage quality,it showed neuroticism has a significant negative prediction on marriage quality and extraversion,agreeableness,conscientiousness has a significant positive prediction on marriage quality.(6)Emotional Intelligence partially intermediates in romantic attachment and marriage quality.(7)Emotional Intelligence partially intermediates in the big five personality and marriage quality.
