The main purpose of this study was to explore the relationships among Freshmen's quality of attachment,emotion intelligence,and adjustment.The participant were 777 Freshmens from 5 universitys in Hebei and Tianjin.The date were collected by means of questionnaires,and the employed instruments comprised Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment(Chinese version),Inventory of emotion intelligence,and Inventory of Freshmen's Adaptation to College.The applied analysis methods included descriptive statistics,one-way MANOVA,correlation analysis,and regression analysis.The main findings in this study were as follows:1.The Freshmen's adjustment level is on the medium level,and the contact adapts is superiorly,the study adapts is relatively bad.2.Analysis of variance demonstration:The Freshmen's sex main effect is not achieves level of significance,Their specialized and years of living at school main effect is achieves level of significance.The concrete manifestation is Liberal arts' adjustment level superior than Science subjects.Freshmen of starts from the junior middle school to live at school adjustment level is superior than from the college to live at school.3.The Freshmen's adjustment and dimension of the Inventory has significance correlation with parental attachment,peer attachment,emotion intelligence.4.Parental attachment,emotion intelligence has the forward forecast function to the school adjustment,peer attachment doesn't have the remarkable influence to the school adjustment.5.In the model of parent and peer attachment,parent attachment immediate influence school adjustment,parent and peer attachment affects the school adjustment through intermediary variable of emotion intelligence.Finally,after discussion,some suggestions were proposed for parents,teachers, educational authorities,and further studies.
