| Learned helplessness is a kind of special emotional state after someone learned something and failed in the learning activity so that they will feel upset and unhappy.This theory is widely used in education and medical science.Now it has been researched by second language learning researchers.Learned helplessness includes five parts,mood helplessness,cognitive helplessness,behavior helplessness,confidence helplessness and motivation helplessness.This thesis is mainly to find out the relationship between the learned helplessness,the English learning attribution style and English language learning based on two surveys.The main findings are as follow:1.Non-English major students learned helplessness level is totally in middle level.It has big difference between gender.The male students’ learned helplessness level is higher than female students.Students who has different English scores in this aspect also has big difference.This finding is same with other researchers.2.Non-English major students’ learning attribution style is not obvious in whole.But it has big difference in gender,boys learning attribution score is higher than girls.3.Non-English major students’ learned helplessness level is related to English scores.They are in negative correlation.Students who is in high learned helplessness level,the English score will be lower than others.4.The relationship between non-English major students’ learning attribution style and English scores is not obvious,but different learning attribution style has relation with the English scores.5.Non-English major students’ learned helplessness level is related to English learning attribution style,and they have positive correlation.The correlation rate is 0.485,the relationship between the two factors is obvious.6.Non-English major students’ learned helplessness and attribution style both have influence on English learning achievement,but non-English major students’ learned helplessness has more influence on English learning.According to the analysis data,non-English major students’ learned helplessness influence rate is-0.423,the attribution style influence rate is-0.117. |
