The issue of freedom has been an eternal issue human beings facing and also an permanent question we discussing about.Throughout the human history, this inquiry can be found in all the philosophers’ theories especially reflected in Kant’s philosophy.By his Critical Philosophy,Kant criticized and rejected both the empirical and transcendental interpretations to freedom given by the previous philosophers. He found another way, that is,to reduce freedom to be freewill as metaphysical foundation based on which Kant constructed his new moral theory of autonomy,to reject all the heteronomous moral theories which are based on desire, inclination and so on.Whereas, there still exists several questions of Kant’s theory of freedom which deserve our further discussion. This paper is planned to do reconstruction aiming at those questions in Kant’s theory of freedom and his moral philosophy. This paper includes four chapters. In the first chapter, the introduction,Here gives the purpose and significance of this paper and literature review. In the second chapter,an outline of Kant’s theory of freedom and his moral philosophy which is deducted from autonomous will are given, that is,a deductive route from freedom to autonomy, then,a moral world. The primary job in the third chapter is,on one hand,to find all the logical questions of Kant’s theory of freedom and his moral philosophy; On the other hand,I attempt to hold and defend Kant’s position to make reaction to various criticism from those scholars. In the final chapter, aiming at respect, which is the key factor in Kant’s theory and his moral philosophy,I try to construct a moral phenomenology which derives from respect,a kind of unique transcendent affection of human being,to resolve the question of formalism in Kant’s moral philosophy.
